Kind words from an OPAAT writer

“I think One Page at a Time is probably my favorite part of the week. These meetings have nearly doubled my productivity, and I love having a consistent group of writers to write with! I’ve made new friends, and I really love the camaraderie and support that I can look forward to each week!”

Meet the Hosts

Hi, I'm Hannah!

I’ve been editing professionally since 2011 and bring a wide range of editing experience with me. I’ve worked on everything from web content to business proposals to my favorite: novels. Since starting Between the Lines Editorial in 2017, I’ve helped over a hundred authors pursue their publishing dreams.

But I’m not just an editor; I’m a writer, too! I’m currently revising the first book in my New Adult fantasy series, and the second book is already partially drafted. I know writing can be hard, but I also know just how rewarding it is.

When I’m not editing or writing, I might be reading, playing tennis or video games, or rewatching some of my favorite shows.

Hi, I'm Sarah!

I didn’t know it at the time, but I fell in love with editing at school when I realized I liked peer reviewing more than anyone else did.

Now, I’m a professional editor with a variety of editing experience. I’ve edited academic papers and government transcripts, as well as short stories and (also my favourite) novels. Since creating Edits & Revisions, I’ve delivered character-focused, story-driven editing primarily to contemporary romance authors. It’s my goal to give indie authors the tools they need to share their characters with the world.

When I’m not editing, you can find me swooning over my book boyfriends, (ice) skating, or hanging out in a coffee shop, asking the barista about the origins of the beans.

Kind words from an OPAAT writer

“Writing can be a lonely road…OPAAT helps me not feel isolated on my writing journey. Funnyleave it to a group of introverted book nerds to delight in quiet writing time together! But there’s a camaraderie in that intentional, shared time; a camaraderie in witnessing others pouring their souls into their WIPs like I do day in and day out.”

Frequently Asked Questions

We meet (almost) every Friday at 12pm ET. We write for 45 minutes, then spend 10-15 minutes chatting and catching up.

Nope! You can work on whatever you want; it can even change from meeting to meeting if that best suits your writing goals.

That’s okay! Sign up for the days you know you can make. And if something does come up unexpectedly, just contact us (Hannah or Sarah) ASAP to let us know you’ll miss that meeting.

No! This is not a critique group. We do not swap drafts or critique chapters.

Unfortunately, with Zoom sign-ups, we are unable to send automated reminders at this time. We suggest adding the meeting to your calendar directly.

We picked the meeting time based on our own availability and feedback from our combined audiences.

That’s okay! We want to keep the group accessible. So while donations are appreciated, they’re entirely optional

We may decide to add additional meeting days and times in the future. If we do, we’ll announce that to the Friday group and on our social media channels.

Yes. You’re welcome to sign up for as many meetings as you know you can attend at one time. All we ask is that you don’t sign up if you can’t make that day since seats are limited.
